Summary: A maintenance release that makes connecting your PayPal account more reliable and fixes an installation error on some hosting platforms.

Improvements ðŸ”¬

  • When a PayPal connection attempt can't be completed, you now get a clear message explaining what to do next instead of a generic "Something went wrong!".

Bug Fixes ðŸ”¨

  • Reconnecting a PayPal seller account no longer fails with an unexplained error. Previously, if the PayPal onboarding window sent its confirmation twice, or you retried a connection that had already been used, the connection would break with a generic error. It now completes cleanly, and if the authorization has genuinely expired you're told to simply reconnect with a fresh one. Note that disconnecting only clears the connection in Odoo — reconnecting the same seller always starts a new authorization. 

  • Fixed an installation error that prevented the PayPal modules from loading on certain hosting platforms, including Cloudpepper. All modules in the suite now install and upgrade normally there.

Google Pay is now available as a standalone payment method. Customers can pay with their saved Google Pay cards at checkout and in express checkout. Supports 3D Secure authentication for cards that require it.

  • Apple Pay

Apple Pay is now available as a standalone payment method. Customers on supported devices (Safari, iOS) can pay with Apple Pay at checkout and in express checkout.

  • Split Checkout Layout

PayPal, Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay now appear as separate payment options at checkout instead of being grouped under a single dropdown. Customers can see and choose their preferred method at a glance.

  • Unified Payment Method Portal

Saved cards and Venmo tokens are now managed on a single "Payment Methods" page in the customer portal, replacing the previous separate "Payment Tokens" page.

  • Partial Refunds

Merchants can now issue partial refunds for PayPal transactions directly from the Odoo backend.
